Tel Hai Hosts Holiday Craft Bazaar: Nov. 29

Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the public to attend a ‘Holiday Craft Bazaar’ on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts on the campus of Tel Hai. This event is free and open for the public to attend.

From home-based business to skilled craftsman, this bazaar is a great place to get a head start on holiday shopping. Items for sale include knitted and woven items, wooden crafts, jewelry, stained glass, pottery, florals and familiar names such as Tupperware, Thirty-One Gifts and Scentsy.

Event is hosted in the StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts, on the campus at Tel Hai, located at 4000 Tree Line Drive, Honey Brook. Honey Brook Food Pantry Hats, Gloves & Scarves Drive: Nov. 1-30, 2018

Join Tel Hai’s Community Engagement Committee for a hats, gloves & scarves drive benefiting the Honey Brook Food Pantry from November 1 through November 30, 2018.  Please donate new hats, gloves, scarves or combinations of each in sets for both children and adults.

The Honey Brook Food Pantry serves 10,000 pounds of food a month to 250 families, assisted by 80 volunteers and seeks to encourage independence.  As winter approaches, these items are critically needed to keep individuals safe and warm.

Drop off locations include the Garrett Community Center, Auditorium/Chapel, and StoneCroft Commons lobbies, all on the campus of Tel Hai Retirement Community.

Tel Hai Hosts Tribute Celebration: Dec. 5

Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the public to attend a ‘Tribute Celebration’ on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts on the campus of Tel Hai. This event is free and open for the public to attend.

The program will celebrate the light, hope, and joy received through others.  Personalize an ornament in their honor or memory by adding their name(s) or a special message on a complimentary ornament to hang on one of the Tribute Celebration trees. Ornaments will be provided. Join us for a time of reflection, music and fellowship.

Tel Hai Hosts ‘Merchant’s & Community Services Faire 2018’: Nov. 1

Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the public to the ‘22nd Annual Merchant’s & Community Services Faire’ on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the community’s StoneCroft Center for Worship & Performing Arts, located at 4000 Tree Line Drive in Honey Brook. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

Learn about diverse resources in our region and explore more than 55 business and professional service providers; health care service providers; community, civic and service organizations; and government & public agencies.  The event will also feature door prizes and giveaways.

Honey Brook Food Pantry Toiletries Drive: Oct. 1-31, 2018

toiletrydrive oct 2015Join Tel Hai’s Community Engagement Committee for a toiletries drive benefiting the Honey Brook Food Pantry from October 1 through October 31, 2018.  Toiletry donations can include items such as toilet paper, tissues, body wash/soap, safety razors, shaving cream, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, baby diapers and baby wipes. Only new or un-opened items will be accepted.

Registration Now Open: 11-Day “Walk Through The Bible & Adventure Tour” to Israel in 2019

Tel Hai Retirement Community invites the community to join Chaplain David Hicks for a 11-day ‘Walk Through The Bible & Adventure Tour’ of Israel from February 24-March 6, 2019. In conjunction with The Jerusalem Center for Biblical Studies with instructor Dr. Willis Britt, registration is now open for the trip and seating is limited.

Tel Hai Promotes Sharon Canull to CFO

Tel Hai Retirement Community named Sharon Canull as Chief Financial Officer effective July 2, 2018. Sharon has direct administrative responsibility for the oversight of the Controller, the Director of Purchasing and serves as liaison with the Child Day Care Center.

Sharon, of Bowmansville, has served at Tel Hai for more than 35 years in various roles within the Finance Department and was Director of Finance since 2010.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Immaculata College and a master’s in nonprofit management from Eastern University.
