Way to Wellness

Tel Hai’s whole-person approach to wellness is called the ‘Way to Wellness.’ Focused on body, mind, spirit and service, all our campus offerings and programs are aimed to provide direct benefit to one or many of these focus areas.

We know that each resident is multidimensional, complex and different. Our endless variety of activities, events and programs provide residents the opportunity to participate in what they want, when they want and how they want.

Body

Focused on nutritional and physical wellness, our professional wellness and culinary team members— such as certified exercise specialists and nutritionists—will help you maintain the best possible physical health during retirement.

From an array of land-based and aquatic fitness programs, we’ll help you gain or maintain physical strength and build endurance to enhance your overall health.

Mind

Focused on intellectual wellness, our educational classes, seminars, guest speakers, and discussion groups are designed to fuel the brain and keep your mind challenged. Our active, resident-led Life Enrichment Committee packs our lecture circuit calendar with a wide range of subjects… from politics and financial management to religion and history.

Tel Hai also partners with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) to bring dynamic programming right to our campus. As an academic cooperative that provides seniors with opportunities for intellectual development, OLLI’s educational courses are centered around classes developed and taught by its members, who volunteer their time and talents to share their knowledge and interests with others.

Spirit

Focused on emotional and spiritual wellness, Pastoral Services’ Chaplains offer spiritual and comfort care to the community through nondenominational worship services, visitation, spiritual counseling, Bible studies, support groups and ongoing religious programming.

As a faith-based community built on a foundation of the Mennonite faith heritage, Tel Hai works alongside local ministers, priests and other clergypersons in honoring the spiritual needs of each person regardless of denomination or faith tradition. Additionally, Tel Hai warmly welcomes individuals of all faiths.

Service

Focused on vocational and social wellness, service-based wellness opportunities enable residents to reignite old friendships and develop new ones. Relationships flourish as neighbors join together to socialize, share their passions and interests, or engage in fulfilling volunteer opportunities.
