A life of connection and service can be found many ways, especially at Tel Hai.
When we say “community” at Tel Hai, we mean a sense of connection, support, and shared purpose that makes life here more meaningful for residents, for team members, and even for our regular visitors. Few things express how important community is at Tel Hai like the many ways people are giving back to the community, to fellow residents, and to families. Through volunteering, generous contributions, meaningful work at our Resale Shop, and more, giving back is the heart of Tel Hai life.
Opportunities to Give Back
VOLUNTEER:
Purposeful volunteering makes a real difference, starting with you.
Volunteering with purpose and joy is a cornerstone of life at Tel Hai. Through our Volunteer Services team, the lives and spirits of others are blessed with the avid service of our extraordinary volunteers. Each year, volunteers devote thousands of hours to not only greatly enhance the quality of life for residents, family members, and guests, but to also improve the work environment for team members.

Do you have a deep-rooted drive to help others through supportive service? If so, we have volunteer opportunities ranging from an hour a week to several hours a day and allow you to choose when and how you spend your time, performing purposeful work you will enjoy. These opportunities vary from assisting with on-campus programs and activities to helping residents with personal care or health care to making friendly visits or checking in on pets. In the end, our trusted volunteers are enriched as much as those receiving help.

The Care Assurance Fund
The fund is invested for the purpose of gaining income to offset unreimbursed resident expenses — provides financial assistance to residents who are unable to cover the full cost of their care. It provides resident an assurance that they can continue to count on the compassionate care and support of a community that they love and call home. For their families, this assurance is a comfort and provides great peace of mind.
