TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, PERMITTED VISITORS & SCREENING INFORMATION:

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS:  As announced (updated Oct. 30) by Gov. Wolf and the PA Department of Health (DOH), additional travel restrictions related to COVID-19 are now in effect for all Pennsylvanians.  Per that order, “If you have traveled, or plan to travel, to an area where there are high amounts of COVID-19 cases (see list below), it’s recommended you quarantine for 14 days upon return.”  That means that after your return to Tel Hai, it’s recommended you self-quarantine for 14 days in your home.  States include:

      • Alabama
      • Alaska
      • Arkansas
      • Colorado

      • Utah
      • Wisconsin
      • Wyoming

Please be aware that this current list is effective as of Oct. 30 and may be updated in the future to include additional states or areas of travel.  Governors Wolf’s administration— including DOH— sends out frequent updates and we plan to adhere to their recommendations. Visit Pennsylvania’s guidance on travel: CLICK HERE.

VISITOR TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS:  We are asking Residential Living residents to self-screen their visitors (including overnight visitors) by asking if they have traveled to any of the states listed above. PERMITTED VISITORS:  ANYONE entering our community must be wearing a mask upon entry.  This includes visitors, family members, vendors, etc.  Individuals must keep their mask on during their entire visit.

VISITORS TO RESIDENTIAL LIVING ARE DISCOURAGED BUT NOT RESTRICTED: To limit the potential for a community-spread outbreak, all visitors must remain in the home/porch of the resident they are visiting or open outdoor amenity spaces only. Visitors are still not permitted to enter indoor common areas or indoor amenity spaces. Visitors must wear and provide their own mask.

      “GREEN PHASE” REOPENING PLAN:

We have entered the “Green Phase” of Gov. Wolf’s reopening plan. It is still too early for us to ‘normalize’ the reopening of all campus operations, but here’s what YOU need to know as a Resident:

      • SCREENING CHANGES: We are no longer screening all individuals who enter the community. All Team Members who work in Meadows Health Care Center, Lakeview Personal Care, Home Care and the Residential Living Wellness Nurse will still be screened (before and after their shift) at a designated employee screening area.
      • PROGRAMMING & RESIDENT ACTIVITY GUIDANCE: During this transition, we will be utilizing Channel 968 programming and in-person programming as lead by the Wellness Team, Pastoral Care Team and Life Enrichment Committee.  No greater community guests permitted for Resident Club participation.

COMMON AREAS, ROOMS & SPACES STILL CLOSED:

The following spaces have NOT reopened. We are currently working on the reopening plan of these spaces and are hopeful to open as soon as recommended by CDC guidelines for use.  Some spaces are in-use for other COVID-19 related activities/meetings.

        • Auditorium/Chapel
        • Garrett Community Center Locker Rooms (*open for changing only)
        • StoneCroft Aquatics Center Locker Rooms (*open for changing only)

      VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY GUIDANCE:

If you have questions related to your volunteer activity, please contact Amy Whary, Volunteer Coordinator, directly at 610-273-9333 ext. 2010 or email her at awhary@telhai.org

      CULINARY SERVICES MEAL ORDERING:

Please visit the Culinary Services page on our website for information related to recent changes and available menu’s for Residential Living residents.  You should have received additional information related to the reopening of Culinary Services venues during the “Green Phase.” Please read this communication and follow the procedures as outlined for reservations.

COVID-19 SOCIAL ETIQUETTE & PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

We appreciate your support in the adherence to the following recommendations by the CDC and Department of Health related to COVID-19 safety practices.

      • MOST IMPORTANTLY: Consult a healthcare provider if you experience signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as a fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat or worsening symptoms.
      • No Mask, No Entry, No Service. All individuals need to be wearing a mask when you are outside your own home while on campus.  My mask protects you, your mask protects me.
      • Exercise social distancing, which is socially spacing yourself away from others by at least six feet.
      • Elevators- When using an elevator, limit to 1 person per car unless you share a household or are providing direct support to another individual.
      • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your face, eyes and nose. Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.

Additional updates related to preventative measures will be communicated when needed. For up to date information, call our COVID-19 Information Hotline at (484) 796-4862 or visit this webpage.
